About this piece
This kit brings together thread painting and raised, dimensional stitches to build a tiny woodland scene: a spiral-shelled snail tucked in among ferns and moss. Deep forest greens meet warm terracotta and cream on soft green fabric.
Jessica suggests stitches and colours all the way through, but there is room to make it your own. Every clump of moss can come out a little differently, so no two landscapes end up quite alike. It is slow, absorbing work for the evenings you want to lose yourself in the detail.

After a career in a biotech lab, Jessica turned to hand embroidery following the birth of her son, looking for a way to slow down, connect with her hands and reduce anxiety. Having felt intimidated when she first picked up a needle, she now designs colourful, approachable kits with step-by-step guidance to help others discover the slow, satisfying pleasure of making.
Inspired by her lifelong love of natural science illustration, her patterns bring animals and florals to life. Each is designed to be enjoyed one relaxing stitch at a time.
