About this piece
This sweet project is full of small delights: tiny bees, ripe strawberries and fluffy dandelions, gathered around a bunny whose fur you build up a strand at a time. The colours are gentle and summery against warm off-white fabric.
The fur is worked in thread painting, the technique behind that realistic, touchable softness. If it is new to you, the online video tutorial walks you through it, so you can take your time and watch the bunny come to life one layer after another.
What's included
- Off-white fabric, permanently printed with the design
- 4-inch (10 cm) wooden embroidery hoop
- 13 colours of DMC cotton embroidery floss
- Embroidery needles
- Colour-printed instructions with suggested stitch order, stitch and colour keys & Beginner Guide
- Link to the online video tutorial
The pattern is printed permanently on fabric, so stitch over the lines as you go.
About the artist

Jessica Long Embroidery, Arizona, USA
After a career in a biotech lab, Jessica turned to hand embroidery following the birth of her son, looking for a way to slow down, connect with her hands and reduce anxiety. Having felt intimidated when she first picked up a needle, she now designs colourful, approachable kits with step-by-step guidance to help others discover the slow, satisfying pleasure of making.
Inspired by her lifelong love of natural science illustration, her patterns bring animals and florals to life. Each is designed to be enjoyed one relaxing stitch at a time.
